L.E.A.P. Workshop- “Constrained but not Limited” Pt. 1 of 3 Exploring Body Diversity in Rope

Part 1 of "But I wanna Do Rope too?!" Series
Presented by: @robrogirl
Rope Receiver: @GroundRiot

If you do a google image search for ‘shibari’, you’ll find 90% of the pictures are of small flexible femme presenting people in stress positions in rope. You’ll see most of the riggers (if pictured) are masc, and easily manipulating their rope receivers. Just like other representations on social media, many people that enjoy rope do not fall into these categories.

This class is about some of the tips and tricks I’ve learned, as a smaller rigger, working with rope receivers of all shapes and sizes, with different levels of flexibility, and constraints. Can a 150 lb rigger suspend a 300+ lb rope receiver with transitions? Absolutely! Do we need to honor our constraints, do a little extra labbing, and think outside of the normal environment? Also true.

Rope Basics Refresher / Social Hour: 6-7

Formal Class: 7-8:45(ish)
Stay & Play until 11:00

Learn, Explore, Apply, & Play. LGBTQIA+ and friends welcomed
