L.E.A.P. Workshop: Exposure and Objectification in Shibari- with Serene_X and GoldenCourtney

A very simple concept with roots in the "floating worlds” and pleasure houses of 17th century Japan. This romantic, fantasy, of lustful objectification, bondage, exposure and “submission”, shapes what, a lot of us, think of as Shibari or Erotic Rope Bondage.

In this workshop:

  • We will talk plainly about these roots, the myths around shibari and our realized fantasy that has evolved today.

  • Together we will tie and explore a few of the shapes derived from what we think of as the origins of Shibari.

  • With this discussion and these exercises we will bring in our own world views and fantasies around the fetishization of “Japanese” Rope Bondage.

This class is for all skill levels, designed to be partner tied, though extremly worth while for all those interested in rope bondage with or with out a tying partner.

It will be helpful for attendees to have some basic rope knowledge and it’s definitely suggested to come early for basic and fundamentals form 6:15-7:00.

This class will be part lecture, part see & do (tie along) and part demo.

Rope Basics/social hour: 6:15-7

Formal Class: 7-8:45(ish)
Stay & Play until 11:00
