The word “semenawa” has been tossed around in the rope bondage community with various expressions like “…being tied in semenewa; semenawa style, semenawa ties…”

In this class we would speak about our interpretation of the meaning and spirit of semenawa or tormenting rope. We would discuss how tormenting rope is not about rope technique or pattern but rather about the intentional mutual journey that both partners embark upon as they tie. The demo during the class would emphasise the individual nature of a semenawa experience.
