Using basic harness, attachments and up line, we will be look at the fundamentals involved in beginning to come off the ground.
After class Oblige staff will be on hand to assist and help you get the most out of this class experience.

Being vulnerable in the simplest of terms is honesty and willingness to share that honesty. It’s been her vehicle to live a life that is in alignment and cohesive. It has afforded her the most change, growth and authentic experiences, fostering profound connections to herself, her partner, and the community. She strongly believes we all desire to feel connection, to be seen and acknowledged, and to know love. That these internal feelings and desires are universally shared.
Having enjoyed many different incarnations in this life, it’s her current place that she has found her propose, her calling, and her peace as venue operator at Oblige. BDSM/Kink offers an arena to explore facets of ourselves and others that is unmatched, helping facilitate that is a huge gift. August 13th: BDSM/Kink Class- “Caregiver/littles 101”with Rose_of_Kali & EyesOfTheMoon

Are you interested in little play? Do you really not understand why people do this? Are you beginning to grow a CG/l relationship? Come ask a CG/l player.
This class is intended to provide nuanced, consent-focused education about CG/l, age play, and ABDL dynamics by creating personal connection, addressing assumptions, and giving a framework for safe, consensual play. This class is for anyone interested in learning more; whether you practice, want to explore, or find yourself around CG/l (which is more likely than you might think!). Your presenters @ Rose_of_Kali and @Eyesofthemoon will dive into definitions, dispell misconceptions, and lay a framework for safe play in this particular niche.

Kit (she/her) is a second generation polyamorous human who engages as a little in a DD/lg style relationship with her dominant, life partner, and coparent. She began exploring kink in 2020 and engage with the local community in 2022.
Kit is a service submissive local to the Metro-Detroit scene with a research and theory based approach to education. Her aspiration is to continue increasing the amount and quality of bottom inclusive kink education. August 20th: Rope/Shibari Workshop- “Rope Safety 2.0: Body Awareness + First Aid for Nerve Injuries” with Midnight Shibari

This class is in addition and in preparation for “Roped In” - A Rope Bottoming Intensive

Rope Safety 2.0: Body Awareness + First Aid for Nerve Injuries
In this class, @Midnight_Shibari will give details into the nerves commonly at risk throughout the body as well as visual demonstration. Attendees will have the opportunity to take what we go over and search for areas of risk on your own body as everyone’s anatomy is a little different with varying nerve sensitivities. We’ll then go over different safety checks that can be used and which nerves they test for, so you can better identify where the issue is and can adjust the rope quicker. The last part of class will focus on what happens if a suspected nerve injury occurs and what current medical literature suggests is beneficial.

Based in the Detroit area, he has served as both an educator and performer of Shibari, presenting at events such as Boundless 2024 at Oblige and the Summer Michigan Rope Conference (SMIRC).
Combining his medical expertise with his passion for rope, Midnight emphasizes safety, informed consent, and body awareness in every class. His teaching often explores both the intensity and artistry of sadistic and torture-style ties, as well as more technical forms and suspension sequences. August 27th: BDSM/Kink Class- “Skin in the Game: Understanding & Building Risk Profiles” with Xeno & Serena

Kinksters talk a lot about “risk profiles,” but what does that actually mean?
Most of us don’t list our risk profile in our Fet “about me” section, and during negotiation we tend to focus on interests, limits, and boundaries rather than discussing risk directly. Yet every person has a unique risk profile, whether they’ve consciously examined it or not.
In this class, we’ll explore what a risk profile is and how understanding it can help us make more informed decisions about play. We’ll also discuss factors and considerations that contribute to individual risk.
Attendees will learn how to identify potential risks, consider strategies for risk mitigation, and evaluate their personal tolerance for those risks.
Whether you’re new to kink or have years of experience, this class will provide a framework for better understanding your own relationship with risk, building your “risk profile,” and for having more meaningful conversations about risk with others.

Serena is sweet as can be! So, naturally, she paired up with a sadist to strike a perfect balance. She entered the community in early 2021, and quickly discovered her home here. Since then, she's spent her time fostering friendships, serving the community, learning all the kinky things, and exploring her interests. In general, she’s drawn to bottoming and dabbles in topping, but her love for receiving mean rope remains constant and true. Bringing the Basics Into Play
A look at dynamic transitions in suspensions with Flynn and -emmie-. See how to use basic ties and harnesses to create dynamic suspension scenes.
This class is part lecture, part tie-and-do.
Intermediate level — an understanding of basic rope harnesses, Upline attachments, and lock-offs will be important for following along.
All levels of skill sets are welcomed to attend for a verity of reasons. If you are new to rope bondage or do not have a working understanding of the basics and fundamental you are strongly encouraged you attend the pre-class portion of the workshop at 6:15PM.

Flynn Racer is a seasoned kink educator with over fifteen years of shibari experience, beginning his journey through the lens of artistic photography. As the co-owner and co-operator of Oblige Rope Boutique, he blends creative expression with technical precision, offering students a thoughtful, intentional approach to rope and connection.
Beyond rope, Flynn is deeply passionate about pipe and mechanical bondage, a love directly inspired by his career in structural engineering. His engineering background fuels his fascination with innovative restraint design, shaping the uniquely hands-on, problem-solving nature of his classes. A dominant, a daddy, and an ever-curious kinkster, he has taught a wide array of shibari, bondage, and BDSM classes across the community. Down the Hatch! - "Encouraged" Intoxication
This class is NOT a glorification of Intoxication play. Oblige, its staff and presenters do NOT endorse any non-consensual play or unethical/irresponsible consumption of substances of any kind. While Oblige does NOT permit Intox play at The Dungeon we understand this to be a kink/fetish that many folx engage in and we feel it necessary to openly discuss the risks, consent frame works, and “responsible” ways intoxicating substances can be used in consensual play.
Join Lady V for this informative & intoxicating class on "Encouraged" Intoxication! "Encouraged" Intoxication is a type of play where two consenting adults get the other to consume mind altering substances.

September 17th: Rope/Shibari Workshop- "Your Move: A Co-Topping Rope Chess Class" with Nick and JJ

This will be an In-person only class. (No livestream or recording)

Two tops, one bottom, and a whole lot of strategy. Explores co-topping as a game of rope chess — trading leads, calling moves, and working together (or against each other) with a third person as the piece in play. All levels welcome.

October 2nd BDSM/Kink Special LEAP -“Point, Shoot, Play” - with Knot_head & Bodacious_Minx (SPECIAL LEAP TICKETS HERE)

To kick off their “Please Flash Me!” Weekend photography & lighting intensive, Knot_head and Bodacious_Minx will be presenting a basic fetish photo hacks workshop. No prerequisites required. Just a cellphone and some play. This class is open to any skillset and is being offered as an a la carte option for those that want to step up their fetish photo skill but are not attending their full weekend.

Although he began with Japanese style rope, he quickly gravitated to the simple, strict, positional Western style bondage concepts of artists like Robert Bishop, John WIllie, Claire Adams, and Jay Edwards. Creating challenging predicaments is still his favorite.
Exploring kink also rekindled a love of photography. Collaborating with Pro photographer Coner for AardvarkFetish, allowed him to gain new skills and the chance to polish them in practice. It became his new mission to change the culture of kink events to include QUALITY photography opportunities. Whether shooting a performance, running a lighting workshop, or hosting a photo room, bringing better photography to kink has become his passion.
He continues to learn and grow as an artist, with influences ranging from Norio Sugiura to Frank Frazetta, and Bunny Yeager to Ridley Scott.
Now, as a professional vanilla and kink photographer for well over a decade, he continues to work with kinksters of all demographics to show how fun and easy it can be to get quality shots of their play, performances, and art concepts with whatever gear they have, in almost any setting.

Kinky lover of all things bondage, Bodacious_Minx is a rope switch with nearly a decade of experience in the rope bondage community. She is experienced in all aspects of rope as a rigger, bottom, and self suspender. Her dedication to create a safe and inclusive space where boundaries are explored without fear or judgment allow for a fun and educational environment for all. With influences ranging from John WIllie and the Kitan Club to Scooby Doo, ensure that she never runs out of creative, sexy fun.
With a background in graphic design, fabrication, and fashion; both pre and post production allow her to scratch a creative itch. Working professionally, in studio and on location, over the years has given her the chance to collaborate with a wide variety of kinksters. In addition to her expertise in post production, her creativity in rigging, posing, costuming and setting a scene are instrumental in taking a concept from imagination to a finished image.
