February 6th: Rope/Shibari Workshop- Constrained but not Limited”

Part 1 of a 3 Part Series Titled: “But I wanna Do Rope too?!” - Exploring Body Diversity in Erotic Rope Bondage

  • Constrained but not Limited

If you do a google image search for ‘shibari’, you’ll find 90% of the pictures are of small flexible femme presenting people in stress positions in rope.  You’ll see most of the riggers (if pictured) are masc, and easily manipulating their rope receivers.  Just like other representations on social media, many people that enjoy rope do not fall into these categories.

This class is about some of the tips and tricks I’ve learned, as a smaller rigger, working with rope receivers of all shapes and sizes, with different levels of flexibility, and constraints.  Can a 150 lb rigger suspend a 300+ lb rope receiver with transitions?  Absolutely! Do we need to honor our constraints, do a little extra labbing, and think outside of the normal environment?  Also true.

This is not a pattern class!  You’ll be free to pick a suspendible arms free chest and/or lower body harness that you are comfortable using. We will be breaking into groups of two tying groups, hopefully with more and less experienced suspenders together to practice spotting one another.

Required Materials: Enough rope for your harnesses, plus 4 uplines, safety cutters.

Optional Materials:  Suspension hardware such as carabiners, rings, etc.  Whatever you are used to.

    70% lecture / demo, 30% tie along

About Robrogirl:  “Self assessed intermediate rigger that likes to use her engineering and problem solving skills (for both restraint and maybe a little torture 😏) when putting people in rope. Tying 3+ years.  Not an expert, but will pretend to be for the sake of this class.”

February 27th: BDSM/Kink Class in the Dungeon- “Don’t Tame Your Demons: Sitting with Sadism” by _MrNobody

This Class will be an In-person only class. No livestream or recording

  • “One of his greatest talents was empathy; no sadist can aspire to perfection without that diagnostic ability.” ~ Vernor Vinge

    Class presented by @_MrNobody

“I am a sadist; I enjoy hurting people, watching them suffer, and knowing they’re in pain. Really think about that…how does that make you feel?"

In this class, we’re going to sit with and explore the idea of sadism. We’ll talk about what it is and different ways it can show up. We’ll also discuss where it comes from and whether you can learn to be sadistic if you’re not already. Most challenging, though, we’re going to think about the ethics of sadism, how we can justify it, and where we draw the line.

(I‘ll do my best not to make the class painfully boring.)

Xeno, He/They (@_MrNobody) is your friendly neighborhood sadist. His favorite kinks include rope, knives, rough body play, and raw vulnerability – generally, with a heavy emphasis on pain. As a presenter, he values inclusivity and adaptability, and strives to make his classes work for the attendees, rather than the other way around. He has enjoyed planning, hosting, and presenting at various events since 2016, and is currently active with the Board of Education and a co-chair of the Board of Education TNG Committee. As a strong advocate of direct communication and critical thinking about risk profiles, he strives to promote responsible play at all intensity levels.

Class Introduction: “Constrained But Not Limited” Part 2

This class is designed to explore the beautiful and connective art of shibari while addressing and embracing different physical limitations. Whether you’re a beginner or someone with experience, our goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and adaptive space where all bodies and abilities are celebrated.

Shibari is not just about the ties—it’s about connection, creativity, and communication. In this class, we’ll focus on techniques that can be adjusted to fit your needs, ensuring comfort, safety, and enjoyment for all participants. We’ll discuss modifications for common physical limitations, such as mobility challenges, flexibility differences, and strength constraints, while emphasizing body awareness and consent.

If you have specific needs or questions, please feel free to let us know before we begin so we can tailor the experience to work best for you.

March 20th: BDSM/Kink Style Class- Embodiment for Bottoms” with GoldenCourtney

  • This class will focus on the bottoms experience, responsibility, and journey not only in rope but also in BDSM/kink practices. This is not a how to class on physical technique. This will be a discussion of why we do the things we do, why we want the things we want, the things we don’t want to talk about, and how to traverse a very nuanced environment both internally and externally.

Class will be led by @GoldenCourtney and set up as lecture and discussion, drawing heavily on personal experience, education, and observation.

All experience levels and all practitioners of rope/BDSM/kink are welcome. While this is about the bottom’s experience and perspective, this information is pertinent to others in the community that wish a greater understanding.
